Fantastic Contraption is a lot of things. A sandbox for creativity. A flagrant disregard for physics and object collision. A clunky, aged, excruciating mess. And strangely compelling, despite it all. Kendra knew exactly what she was doing when she recommended this to our particular group, may Newton have mercy on her soul.

There are better games out there on the internet that give you the sandbox to create a “something” to complete an objective but the OG is here for everyone to…love? cherish? We’re not sure. Some of us respected the title even with its absolute war crimes to the UI (understanding completely this game was made before the current generation was born), some found a solace remembrance in its nostalgia. One found their newly minted “Worst Game Ever.” Pretty fantastic time if you ask me.
