Hola Señors and Señoritas!

Another season is upon us, which means more anime to run through and dabble with in my free time. I’m gonna give you the potential bangers and personal choices I’m feeling in the early moments of the Winter 2025 season and personally I haven’t been this excited for a season in a minute! Let’s go:

As always, everything is now hyperlinked to their respective MAL page. Click the images below for more info on the shows!

With a solid first season in the books and a quick one year turnaround for the upcoming season, The Apothecary Diaries are sure hoping they can continue their stretch of fantastically melding slice of life, romance, comedy, and mystery to blend one of the easiest recommendations of last year.  With the whole subplot of the manga’s artist, Nekokurage, getting sentenced to prison for tax evasion, fans were unsure if the anime would incur any delays but so far it looks like smooth sailing for this season that’ll stretch through two cours of 2025.

LETS.  FUCKING.  GO.  I’ve personally been keeping up with this manga for years and immediately have been counting the days until this comes out.  The first few chapters are a little fan-servicey and the manga is getting to a point where it’s dragging for chapter length but fuck, y’all – once they introduce all the characters, the comedic timing and romantic tension is A1 and I cannot wait to relive each scene again through the anime adaptation!

An absolutely masterful manga getting its just desserts in anime form thanks to TMS Entertainment (Megalo Box, Baki, Dr. Stone, Fruits Basket) who have dabbled finely in the action-based shots Sakamoto Days will need alongside the comedic timing to really pitch these scenes together.  I’m hoping Sakamoto’s tale of a retired assassin turned convenience clerk transfers well to animated form as this isn’t one of the most popular current running mangas in production for nothing.

You may not remember this, but this show was actually teased back in 2021 with a 15 minute short that was initially figured to be a New Year’s one-shot.  Almost 3 years later, we’re getting a full season of the golfing adventures of Ayaka, Haruka, and Minami as they take Minami from beginner to certified Protagonist level!

That’s all I have for this Season! Anything else I should be watching? Let me know.
