Hola Señors and Señoritas!
Another season is upon us, which means more anime to run through and dabble with in my free time. I’m gonna give you the potential bangers and personal choices I’m feeling in the early moments of the Spring 2025 season and personally I haven’t been this excited for a season in a minute! Let’s go:

New anime from Shinichiro Watanabe? It takes place within the Cowboy Bebop universe? MAPPA is handling the visuals? This will be up and down THE anime to watch this season. When a miracle cure-all drug made by a prolific doctor is revealed to have the side effect of killing its users after 3 years, the same doctor becomes a harbinger of evil. A special task force, codenamed “Lazarus,” must develop a vaccine before time runs out on humanity.
Lazarus, like Cowboy Bebop, is an anime I’ll be giving the Dub first dibs on as Adult Swim is handling the airing of this with MAX streaming a day after initial air time. Cowboy Bebop holds a special place in my heart (and I got to get reacquainted with it a couple years back while nursing an injury) so I will always give Watanabe-san my time and attention when it’s needed.
Guilty pleasure alert here. Fire Force’s action is fast and frenetic and David Production has done a fantastic job with the visuals, you just have to keep one eye over your shoulder for the almost comical amount of unnecessary fanservice implanted into each episode that can get to the point of aggravating and embarrassing. It’s still worth a watch, just know what you will unwillingly get yourself into.
Gotta get my season’s romance in! The vibe of this anime is giving me Chungking Express vibes splashed with a spritz of neo-futuristic aesthetics to add flavor. Coworkers Reiko Kujirai and Hajime Kudou become intertwined after a prank gone wrong from Hajime has Reiko looking for answers and finding out she has a past that she has no memory of. There’s a lot of good sci-fi this season and mixed with a romantic duo, I’m all eyes and ears to see what comes of it.
Sports Rom-Com? Sports Rom-Com. Man finds solace from his tiring job in the glory that is baseball and a vendor cold as ice with a warm heart keeps him coming back for more. This’ll probably be mid as Hell but I’m a sucker for baseball and a cold gyaru becoming a warm fuzzy partner to another so, fuck me, I guess this is up my alley. There’s literal dozens of us!
