Hola Señors and Señoritas!

Another season is upon us, which means more anime to run through and dabble with in my free time. I’m gonna give you the potential bangers and personal choices I’m feeling in the early moments of the Winter 2024 season. We got the usual suspects within my wheelhouse but past anime are causing me to open up, so who knows what’ll become of 2024 with this lineup!

As always, everything is now hyperlinked to their respective MAL page. Click the images below for more info on the shows!

Your best Super Smash-sorry, Tackfam players are back for another season of will-they won’t-they shenanigans.  After a 3 year absence between seasons, Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki 2nd Stage brings Fumiya and Aoi together to continue Aoi’s teachings to Fumiya on how to be sociable in the outside world as being the best player on Tackfam has had some obvious disadvantages when it comes to doing anything outside the game.  I will always be a sucker for High School Slice of Life Romances and I enjoyed the first season well enough (slotted it at a respectable 7/10) to continue for another 13 episodes.

Continuing on the “School Romance” trail is an intriguing drama sure to tug on some heartstrings if it holds a candle to a similarly built anime, A Silent Voice.  A Sign of Affection follows Yuki Itose, a university student who has been hearing-impaired since birth.  When she meets Itsuomi Nagi, a mutual friend of Yuki’s best friend, Rin Fujishiro, the two become intertwined within Yuki’s fascinations and tales of Itsuomi’s travels and experiences outside of the only area Yuki has ever known.  With the manga currently in continued production, we should hope to see a good chunk of the 40 chapters covered within the 12 episode run and really see this couple’s interests and growing affection for one another blossom between each and every episode!

I’m gonna blame Frieren for getting me into the fantasy genre as much as I have recently. The internet has gone INSANE for Delicious in Dungeon before it even came out so of course I’m gonna be interested.  After the Golden Kingdom is sunken underground by a power-crazed magician, the King announces all of his riches will be given to the group who defeats the magician before getting outright Thanos’d and turned to dust.  Venturing deep into the dungeon, Laios and his ragtag group of elven healers and halfling thieves are wiped out and left with no supplies, belongings, and minus one party member due to being devoured by a dwelling dragon.  To continue their quest to retrieve their stuff and their made-into-a-meal party member via monsters, they must indulge in the taboo of taking monsters and making them into meals to survive.  Look no further than Senshi the dwarf: monster cooking enthusiast.  Hilarity ensues.

To round out my 4 interesting titles, I present you a coin flip.  I have no idea if Metallic Rouge will be good or not. I never said these would be the best four anime to watch, just the ones I think will be the most interesting! In the distant future, androids and humans live amongst each other on multi-planetary civilizations.  Rouge, an android, is set on a mission with her partner, Naomi, to journey to Mars to murder nine Artificial Humans that have been deemed hostile to the government.  A rather thin synopsis that has room to really breathe if they so choose to expand thoroughly; I’ll be interested to see how far Studio Bones can take this because if any studio can make Coal into Gold, it’s them.

That’s all I have for this Season! Anything else I should be watching? Let me know.
